The waitlist, plainly
What we collect and what we do with it.
What we collect. When you join the waitlist we store your email address, the date you joined, and which page you joined from. That's the whole record. No names, no profiles, no cookies, no analytics, no trackers — the site's fonts and images are served from our own hosting, so your visit isn't reported to anyone else either.
Why. One purpose: to send you Darkerlight news — world reveals, playtest invites, and word of the backing campaign — when there's something worth sending. Joining the waitlist is your consent to receive those emails from us.
Where it lives. On our own infrastructure, in Canada-accessible first-party storage under our sole control. No mailing-list company, broker, or "partner" ever holds the list. It is never sold, rented, or shared — with anyone, for any reason.
Leaving. Every email we ever send will carry a one-click unsubscribe. Before we've sent anything (or anytime), write to [email protected] and we'll remove you promptly. We keep your email only until you withdraw or the waitlist retires into launch.
Your rights. Darkerlight operates from Ontario, Canada under Canada's federal privacy law (PIPEDA). You can ask us what we hold about you (it's the record above), correct it, or have it deleted — same address: [email protected]. If we ever launch player accounts, they'll get their own, fuller privacy policy before a single account exists.
